Technology, New Industry Focus & Job Creation

Detroit, May 29, 2008 – Forest Island Recycling, Inc., a Hamtramck, Michigan based environment technology services company has teamed up with the University of Detroit Mercy’s Business Turnaround Management Program (BTM) to complete a strategic business growth plan. The plan will focus on growth and creative funding of new environmental technologies. The results are expected to include an additional 200 jobs in the Metropolitan Detroit Area, while forging the way to a more diverse economy. Forest Island is a member of the State’s Strategic initiative. Forest Island’s Business Development Director is Mr. Tony Joseph and UDM’s BTM Program is led by Father Oswald Mascarenhas.
